Jon was born and raised in Gallatin, Tennessee and spent his first two years of college at Volunteer State Community College and then moved to Murfreesboro to finish college at Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Business Entrepreneurship with a minor in Business Administration. During his first year at Middle Tennessee State University, Jon joined Rutherford Volunteer Fire Department (September 2005). Since joining Rutherford Volunteer Fire Department he has attended Basic Firefighting, Live Firefighting, Firefighter Survival, and Arson Detection for the first responder. He is also certified in CRP/AED and First Aid for the professional rescuer through the American Red Cross. Jon has been promoted to Lead Fire Fighter. He is also in charge of all bunker gear and uniforms.
